-Grand finale match slated for Wednesday

It was an emphatic victory as the Agunfore FC on Friday thrilled a large crowd of spectators to an evening of spectacular soccer, claiming the much-deserved victory over the Back of Model FC in the third -place match of the Adeboruwa Cup 2025.
The team roundly defeated Back of Model 6- 2 in a highly entertaining encounter in the third- place match played at the UAMC Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo.
Agunfoye FC took control early in the game with brilliant attacking play. Their jersey number 3, Odunayo Oyekanmi, opened the scoring at the 6th minute of the game, setting the tone for the team. He added two other goals at 10th, and 65th minutes of the match.

The momentum continued as number 9, Tunmise Olaiya scored at the 19th minute, jersey number 11, Ibrahim Shokunbi scored at the 67th minute and jersey number 15, Ayobami Dada, 72nd minute, scoring to complete Agunfoye’s six-goal tally. Their coordinated passes, speed, and finishing ability kept the crowd cheering.
Back of Model FC, determined not to go down without a fight, found the back of the net twice. Their goals came through players wearing numbers 16, Olagoke Richard and 14, Toba Azeez Amoo, scored in the 28th ad 32nd minutes, who both capitalised on defensive gaps to bring some hope to their side.

Despite their efforts, Agunfoye FC maintained dominance and controlled the game until the final whistle. Spectators described the match as “wonderful”, praising both teams for their spirit, energy, and sportsmanship.
The grand finale of the 2025 Adeboruwa Cup comes up on Wednesday, 26, 2025 at UAMC Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo.
